Turn towards green economy: the need, challenges and opportunities
Global challenges, like climate change, lack of natural resources and waste management, which is still not effective, have an impact and threat on every business and life of every human being.
How we can turn all these into opportunities? What kind of behavior change of clients can impact business? Should business just follow the political turn towards sustainability and greener economy, or it can form new rules and even way of future life?
Presentors
Mr. Remigijus Lapinskas is an investor, seed capital provider and developer of business, primarily in spheres of renewable energy, real estate and green technologies.
He is founder (2004) and was a president (2004-2014) of Lithuanian biomass energy association LITBIOMA. From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Lapinskas was twice elected as board member at European Biomass Association (AEBIOM). He served as the President of the World Bioenergy association in 2016 -2020, and was elected to the Board after the finish of service period.
Today Mr. Lapinskas is founder and president of the Green Policy Institute, aiming to the target of sustainable development in the different spheres of society.
Mr. Vladas Venskutonis, has 10 years of experience in management positions, demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial style, good analytical skills, ability to build relationships and high efficiency in his work.
With 8 years of experience in waste management, his expertise and knowledge position him as a specialist in this area of business.
